I won’t be a social

media whore any

more because I don’t need

the fake validation

that’s for sure. I’m happy

to do away with the

pretence that we are friends

I will no longer sit

on the fence complicit

in the false narrative

that we care about each

other’s lives when the truth

is that we don’t we care

only about our own

the connection will not

be missed I’m connected

to me and the person

I am striving to be

beautifully alone

with authenticity

you may think you know who

I have been when

you are scrolling on a

screen but the truth is that

we never really know

who anybody is

we’re all second guesses
